@OliBLOOD: HC Bratislava stay in Slovakia... when is possibility to advance to TL they will play in 2nd Slovakian league. Difference between St. Nicolaus League and Erste League (after move MAC Budapest and DVTK to TL)is in two main points - you can advance trough relegation play-off to TL and your oponnets are not so far (like for example Galati is). HC Bratislava will be never play EL2... its not amateur team. 2 applications have been submitted from HC Bratislava. TO EL and to EBEL... the main reason was that there was a danger that the Tipsport Liga would be closed. There will be no option to advance. Now they sign deal with TL and this possibility stay (advance trough relegation play-off). I dont think Hungary create 2nd league... Hungary is on the way to have 3-4 clubs abroad. The rest have to stay home and play a home competition (probably with young players) ... similarly our second league. Of course, this does not appeal to ambitious clubs and they looking for ways to change it.

Idea coming in 2015 when people in Bratislava ask where will be play young players from Slovan Bratislava who dont get chance play in KHL. Slovan dont have any farm team (Tisport liga strictly denied this option - have farm team in competition). People around form players and sponsors coming with idea create another hockey club in Bratislava. Bratislava is now strong region but they dont have (to 2015) club in Slovakian leagues. After first season in 2.hokejova league (some leagie play KMH Budapest or Sanok, there is 20 teams mostly on amatuer niveau). They advance and get strong sponsor - OSMOS... but in Bratislava sponsors want to see strong league, so they next target is Tipsport Liga. This season (2018/19) they call strong attack on TL. Maybe they buy licence from Žilina. We will see. My favourite in this competition (2nd league) is Ingema Michalovce. Strong team, new hockey arena, 2000-3000 spectators. All this team is now little bit angry... but at least they have chance. About farm teams... I think this is vey bad idea in Hungary. Viena II, Fehervar II... they cant play with same teams like Mac Budapest or DAB. Im not sure where in Europe play first league 3-4 farm teams. Better idea will be created together with Slovakia, Poland or Austria, Romania 2nd league and in Hungary have only junior league. Or created 1 league with out farm teams although with 5 teams.

Hockey Friendships... now after years we are near to play together in one league. Someone write about money but strong teams in Slovakia talk mostly about strengthening the league - will be more competetive and more spectators will be interesting. EBEL was created not bcz they want just more money from Italy, Slovenia or Hungary... but for marketing and more spectators. Strong teams wants play with strong teams... Weaker teams get compensation. So simple ... but in fact very complicated.

@szanisz: Believe me your teams are right... and same feeling have some clubs in ST.Nicolaus League (2nd Slovakian). Even play-out was in danger and can easly finish this club with possibility to advance. HC Bratislava was very critical to this bcz they want play in near future TL (Tipsport liga)... as i say before Stronger wants play with stronger and "weaker" need to be compensated. Now is clear there will be chance to advance to TL... but clubs are not very happy and search some solution. I hear about possibility to create open 2nd league (similiar to Alpen Liga) with possibility to advance (also for Hungarian or Polish teams). But its too fresh to talk about more... I know teams like DAB or UTE is "little bit" angry but remember 2 teams are no final number... its final this year. We see if this step was right... and than we can advance. Only problem is Romanian teams have no chance to play in TL.
I bet one Hungarian teams make it to the semis... one to the QF. But will be close (like final of Visegrad) so you cant bet on this.

@Bar down: Only problem will be with FTC... (maybe same story with Slovan in Dunajska Streda). Positive reaction is more.... negative reaction is why 2 teams and why dont play from bottom (at least from 1 hokejova liga). But some fans are asking - will be a problem with Hungarian fans? (same question as your)... Answers is Visegrad cup - there was no problem with this. Ultras Ferencvaros (Fradi?) or Ultras Slovan have bad name in Slovakia (maybe also in Hungary) so if you ask me about problem - i say no problem bcz there is no FTC. About HC Bratislava i send this information (HC BA in EL?) to my friend... i write here if this is true.

@kerusz: Can confirm HC Bratislava was interested but only in situation when will be Tipsport Liga (Extraliga) closed for teams from ST.Nicolaus League (1.hokejová liga). This is now solved. HC Bratislava is not farm Slovan Bratislava is different team in different hall with different owners.
